Florida Court Case Lookup & Clerk Directory
Clerk of
Courts
Start your Florida court case lookup with the official clerk for the county handling the case.
This directory connects you with county systems in Tampa Bay and Central Florida. Depending on the portal, you may be able to search by name or case number and review public docket entries, hearing information, and available documents.
How do I look up court cases in Florida?
Choose the county where the case was filed, open its official clerk link, and select the relevant search option. If you have a case number, enter it in the format the portal requests. For a Florida court case search by name, use the person's full name and check identifying details carefully before assuming a result is the right case. Review the docket and any available documents together.
For Tampa and Hillsborough County matters, HOVER offers searches by case number, party or business name, and other criteria. Public access varies by record and user role. A missing result does not prove that no case exists. Confirm questions about a hearing with your attorney or the clerk.
Can I get every court document online?
No. Confidential or sealed records may be unavailable, and some records require a separate request. HOVER allows viewing and printing available non-certified documents without charge; certified copies and other copy requests may carry fees. Other counties set their own access procedures. See HOVER access and copy information.
